They began in 1962 and have not quit yet. The band is made up of music industry veterans. Members come and go, but Sonny and the Starfires keep playing rhythm and blues based Rock and Roll from before the Beatles. The band plays atomic age rock and roll as well as 1950s-60s rhythm and blues.
